Another great year!  

Congratulations to Southern Sussex Rotary’s Fourth annual Spelling Bee participants! This years winners were: In first place Abigail Batton from Phillip C. Showell won a bike & helmet sponsored by State Farm Insurance in Selbyville! Second place, Max Williamson, from Lord Baltimore won a gift certificate sponsored by Tidepool Toys & Games. Lori Smyth wrote: “Toys with a Porpoise”. Third place, Derek Gogov, from Lord Baltimore won a Holiday Gift Box Sponsored by Yesterdays Fun in Bethany Beach. Fourth place, Byron Quillen from Lord Baltimore won a gift basket with a Gift card, tickets to the Clayton Theater, Gift card to Three Blond Bakers in Bethany Beach and basket of candy from Southern Sussex Rotary. Fifth place, Marlie Miller from John M. Clayton won a gift basket with a gift card, gift certificate to Maureen’s in Bethany Beach and basket of candy from Southern Sussex Rotary

All participants received gift cards to Bonkey’s Ice Cream in Ocean View. Southern Sussex Rotary provide a Spelling Bee backpack to all participants. Custom Mechanical provided a book of tickets to Funland and pens. Rita’s Ice provided a Teddy Bear with a gift certificate for the Bethany Beach location. 

Pack 280 Cub Scouts performed the flag ceremony, with Keagan Crotty, Collin Shoobridge, Logan Shoobridge, James Mulholland, Ty Netting.
